A trust is a legal relationship in which the holder of a right gives it to another person or entity who must keep and use it solely for another's benefit. It is highly advisable for settlors and in many cases trustees to seek legal advice before entering into or creating a trust agreement and trustees must take great care in acting or omitting to act to avoid unlawful mistakes.
